Quick Answer
| Most common cause | Your district’s payment phase has not started yet |
| Current installment | Rs. 14,500 (October–December 2026), released district by district |
| Fastest check | SMS your CNIC to 8171, or 8171.bisp.gov.pk |
| Free helpline | 0800-26477 |
Fix 1: Your District’s Phase Has Not Started
BISP releases each quarterly installment in phases to avoid system overload. There is no single national date. If neighbouring districts received payments and yours has not, wait and re-check every two to three days, and watch for the official SMS from 8171.
Fix 2: Your Benazir SIM Wallet Is Not Activated
Payments have moved to the free Benazir SIM digital wallet. If your SIM arrived but the wallet was never activated, the payment can sit undelivered. Activate it as instructed with your SIM, and complete wallet registration before the 31 December 2026 deadline. If you never received a Benazir SIM, collect it free from your BISP office with your original CNIC.
Fix 3: Your CNIC Was Renewed but BISP Has Not Synced
After a NADRA renewal, the BISP payment system sometimes still shows the old record, producing an “expired CNIC” error on a valid card. Call 0800-26477 and request a manual record update instead of travelling between offices.
Fix 4: Your NSER Survey Has Expired
A survey older than three years, or one recorded before a major family change, can pause your payments. Visit your Tehsil Office and complete the free dynamic re-survey with your current documents.
Fix 5: Biometric (Thumbprint) Failure at the Payment Point
If your status shows the payment as issued but the machine rejects your thumbprint, ask the payment centre supervisor for the NADRA re-verification process. Elderly beneficiaries and manual workers face this most — it is a known issue with a known solution, not a cancellation.
Fix 6: Your Registered SIM Is Inactive or Changed
BISP sends payment messages to the mobile number in your record. If that SIM is closed or was replaced, update your mobile number in your BISP record at the Tehsil Office so you stop missing phase announcements.
Fix 7: Your Record Is Under a Routine Review
Some accounts pause during routine verification. Only the helpline can confirm this for your CNIC — call 0800-26477 before assuming the worst, and never pay anyone who offers to “unblock” your account.
What Never Works
- Paying an agent to “release” your payment — agents cannot release anything.
- Registering again on unofficial websites or apps — there is no online registration.
- Believing social-media posts that announce a payment date for the whole country — phases are district-wise only.

Frequently Asked Questions
My neighbours got paid but I did not. Why?
Phases can differ even between nearby areas, and individual records (survey validity, wallet activation, CNIC sync) differ too. Work through Fixes 1–4 first.
How long should I wait before complaining?
If your district’s phase has clearly started and two weeks pass with no payment and no status change, call 0800-26477 and note your complaint reference number.
Does “payment not showing” mean I am removed from BISP?
No. Removal is rare and most stops are fixable record issues. Your status on the portal will say if a survey or verification is required.
Final Words
Start with the free checks — SMS, portal, wallet activation, CNIC validity — before travelling anywhere. In most cases your Rs. 14,500 is delayed, not lost.
