BISP beneficiaries are currently receiving Rs. 14,500 per quarter for the October–December 2026 cycle, paid phase-wise by district. From January 2027, the quarterly Kafaalat payment rises to Rs. 18,000. The increase applies to eligible Kafaalat beneficiaries — you do not need to apply again for the higher amount, but your record must be in order and your payment wallet registered before the 31 December 2026 deadline, because payments are moving to wallets.
Do these 3 things before 31 December 2026:
- Complete your wallet registration. Register your BISP payment wallet on your own CNIC before the deadline so the January qist can land in it. Registration is free — never pay an agent.
- Check your 8171 status. SMS your CNIC to 8171. If the reply says a survey is required, complete your free NSER dynamic survey at the nearest BISP Tehsil Office (see our Re-Survey guide).
- Keep your CNIC valid. An expired CNIC or a SIM not registered on your own CNIC can block payment. Renew at NADRA and use your own registered mobile number.
How the January 2027 Payment Will Reach You
Eligible families will receive the Rs. 18,000 qist through their registered payment wallet when the January–March 2027 cycle opens, district by district as usual. You will get an SMS from 8171 when your payment is ready. Cash-out from the wallet carries a fee of Rs. 280 — anyone demanding more is overcharging you; report it on the helpline.

Is the Rs. 18,000 payment confirmed for everyone?
The increase to Rs. 18,000 per quarter from January 2027 has been announced for eligible Kafaalat beneficiaries. Your own eligibility still depends on your PMT score (32 or below, or 37 with a disabled household member) and an up-to-date survey record — check on 8171.
Do I need to apply again for Rs. 18,000?
No new application is needed if you are already an eligible beneficiary. You do need wallet registration before 31 December 2026 and a valid record.
What happens if I miss the wallet deadline?
