Latest Update — Last verified: 24 October 2026
Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced that Honhaar scholarships and laptops will be distributed across all nine Punjab divisions during October and November 2026. The first ceremony took place at the University of Sahiwal on 15 October 2026 for students from Sahiwal, Okara and Pakpattan, where the Chief Minister handed out the first laptops and scholarships of the year. Nurses and students of religious seminaries were included for the first time, and a quota was set aside for students from other provinces.
Similar ceremonies in the remaining divisions — Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, D.G. Khan and Sargodha — follow over the coming weeks. The government has NOT disclosed how many scholarships or laptops go to each ceremony, so this post deliberately gives no per-event number. If a date for your division appears anywhere except your institution or the official portal, treat it as unconfirmed until your university confirms it.
How to Check Your Status
- Open the official portal: cmlaptophed.punjab.gov.pk and verify your selection, university allotment and ceremony roster.
- Contact your institution’s departmental focal person for schedule confirmations and desk verification — they hold the ceremony list for your campus.
- Attend only the ceremony your institution names for you, with your original CNIC and student record.
- If your division’s ceremony has not been announced yet, keep checking the portal and your institution — the October–November window is still running.
