BISP’s own guidance, issued by the Chairperson, directs beneficiaries to obtain authentic information and register complaints only through BISP’s official channels: the nearest BISP office, BISP’s official social media platforms, or the BISP Helpline at 0800-26477. That helpline number is confirmed on bisp.gov.pk itself.

The same guidance warns beneficiaries clearly: if a retailer deducts money unlawfully or fails to disburse the full amount, demand the complete payment by referring to your SMS notification and report the matter to BISP staff or through the helpline. Collect payments only from authorised bank retailer outlets — never from private residences or unauthorised locations — and never hand your mobile phone to a retailer while receiving payment, so that no one can delete your SMS notifications or complaint information.

Remember that funds remain safely stored in beneficiaries’ Digital Wallets, so there is no need to withdraw immediately — and payments can also be collected on Saturdays and Sundays at authorised outlets.

Method 1: Call the BISP Helpline 0800-26477

  1. Dial 0800-26477 from your mobile. The call is toll-free.
  2. Keep ready: your 13-digit CNIC number, the mobile number registered on your CNIC, and the details of the problem — which qist, how much was due, how much you received, and where and when it happened.
  3. Explain the issue clearly: payment not received, delayed installment, deduction, biometric failure, or wrong eligibility status.
  4. Note down the complaint reference number you are given. You will need it for any follow-up.
  5. If the agent asks you to visit an office — for example for a biometric problem — go with your original CNIC; some issues cannot be closed by phone alone.

Method 2: Visit Your Nearest BISP Tehsil Office

  1. Take your original CNIC and your registered mobile phone with you.
  2. Take your payment slip or SMS if you have one, plus the name or location of the payment centre if the complaint is about a deduction.
  3. Explain the issue to the staff and fill in the complaint form. Your complaint is entered into the official system on the spot.
  4. Collect your tracking receipt and keep it safe — it is your proof that the complaint was registered.
  5. This is the most reliable route for serious issues: biometric verification failure, CNIC data mismatch, survey correction and eligibility disputes.

Method 3: Check Your Status on the 8171 Portal

  1. Open 8171.bisp.gov.pk and enter your 13-digit CNIC with the captcha code, or send your CNIC by SMS to 8171.
  2. Read your payment and eligibility status carefully before complaining — if your district’s phase has not started yet, your payment may simply not be released yet, which is not a fault to complain about.
  3. If the status shows a payment but you did not receive it, or shows a wrong record, use Method 1 or 2 to register the complaint with that status as your evidence.

What You Can Complain About

  • Payment not received, delayed installment, or partial payment / illegal deduction by a retailer.
  • Biometric verification failure or fingerprint not matching at the payment point.
  • CNIC not verified, wrong personal data, or incorrect NSER survey record.
  • 8171 portal showing no record or a wrong eligibility status.
  • Fraud messages or agents demanding money to release your payment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the 0800-26477 helpline really free?

Yes, it is BISP’s toll-free helpline, confirmed on bisp.gov.pk. Never pay an agent who offers to call on your behalf for a fee.

The retailer gave me less than Rs. 14,500. What do I do first?

Demand the full amount on the spot by showing your SMS notification, keep the receipt, and report the deduction to BISP staff or on 0800-26477 immediately.

Can I complain on WhatsApp or Facebook?

Only trust BISP’s official, verified pages and the official channels in this post. Do not share your CNIC with unknown WhatsApp numbers or pages — BISP’s own guidance says to use official platforms, the nearest office, or the helpline.

How long will my complaint take?

BISP does not publish one fixed resolution time for every complaint type — it depends on whether the issue is a payment record, a biometric check, or a NADRA data correction. Keep your reference number and follow up through the same channel if you hear nothing.

Someone says they can release my payment early for a fee. True?

False, and it is fraud. No agent can move your phase or payment forward. Report it on 0800-26477.

Final Words

Your strongest protection is simple: collect only from authorised outlets, count the full Rs. 14,500 on the spot, keep your receipt and SMS, and use 0800-26477 the moment anything is wrong. A complaint costs nothing — a deduction you ignore costs you.
