Latest Update — Last verified: 27 October 2026
The October–December 2026 installment is Rs. 14,500 — the rate in place since the increase from Rs. 13,500 earlier in 2026. BISP releases each quarterly installment in phases across districts so payment centres are not overcrowded, and beneficiaries are advised to confirm their own payment status on 8171 before travelling. If your status does not yet show a payment, the most likely explanation is that your district’s phase has not started — not that you have been removed.
Two rumours to ignore this month. First, Rs. 18,000 does NOT apply in October, November or December 2026 — it starts from January 2027, and it applies automatically to existing recipients; no fresh application is needed for the increase itself. Second, no one can collect early: if your phase has not started, the payment point cannot release your qist, however long you queue.
Step-by-Step: How to Know Your District Started
- Check your own status first: send your 13-digit CNIC (no dashes) by SMS to 8171, or enter it on 8171.bisp.gov.pk with the captcha code.
- Read the reply carefully. “Payment released” means you can collect; “processing” or no payment shown means your phase has not started yet.
- If not started, re-check every two to three days. Do not travel to the payment point until the status shows your payment is ready.
- When the 8171 payment message arrives, go to your nearest payment centre or campsite with your original CNIC and your registered SIM.
- Complete biometric verification at the counter and collect the full Rs. 14,500. Count it on the spot and take the receipt — it proves no deduction was made.
- If you hold a free Benazir SIM wallet, your payment route follows your wallet: wallet cash-out carries a fixed Rs. 280 service fee, while online transfer and RAAST are free, as explained in our wallet guide.
Where Payments Are Collected
BISP campsites in rural areas during distribution phases, partner bank counters (HBL, Bank Alfalah and others), and BISP Tehsil Offices for verification issues or special cases. Visiting early in the morning, before 9 AM, usually means shorter queues — especially in the first week of a phase.

Frequently Asked Questions
My neighbour got paid but I did not. Am I disqualified?
Almost certainly not. Payments release district by district and phase by phase. Re-check your own 8171 status — your phase may simply not have started.
Is the October qist Rs. 14,500 or Rs. 18,000?
Rs. 14,500 for October–December 2026. Rs. 18,000 starts from January 2027.
Can I collect without the 8171 message?
No. Only travel to collect once your status shows the payment is ready, or you have received the 8171 payment SMS. Collecting early is not possible.
What if my 8171 status shows no record at all?
That usually means your household has not been surveyed. Visit your BISP Tehsil Office for the free NSER Dynamic Survey — see our re-survey guide.
Someone says they can release my payment early for a fee. True?
False, and it is fraud. No agent can move your phase forward. Report it on 0800-26477.
Final Words
Check 8171, wait for your own message, then collect with your original CNIC. Patience this week saves a wasted trip — and the Rs. 14,500 is worth the wait.
